Weddings & Events at the Silos
We drove straight to the property, and when we arrived, there were Scissortail flycatchers flying all around and sitting on guide wires. We said, “Look at the scissortails on the silos!” - and that's how the name was founded.
We adore watching love bloom and are blessed to work with so many amazing couples. We look forward to many years of happy celebrations and strive to make them stress free and enjoyable for all of our guests!
Dahl and I just celebrated our 23rd anniversary and have raised three wonderful daughters. We both retired from a career in law enforcement, and wanted to do something together in retirement. We had talked about running a wedding and event venue, and had planned to build one on our farm.
As we were in the planning stages, the old Cole Feed Store came up for auction. I tried for weeks to get my husband to go look at the facility, to no avail. The morning of the auction, ten minutes before start time, he said, "You forgot about that auction today didn't you?" I happened to know the auctioneer, and called and asked if I could bid over the phone on the property - SIGHT UNSEEN. It was literally a leap of faith, and when she said, “Congratulations, you just bought a feed store,” I had a slight panic attack.
